We at Heritage Family Church strive to be a Bible-based fellowship that holds fast to the principles and truths of the Word of God. His Word is a lamp and a light that illuminates where we are and then where God wants to take us (Ps 119: 105).
One God (Deut 6:4; Eph 4:6)
We believe in the One true and living God who robed Himself in flesh and submitted Himself to the experiences and sufferings of man. We understand that Jesus is the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.
Salvation (John 3:3 and 5; Acts 2:38)
We hold fast to the beautiful revelation of Death, Burial and Resurrection as the only saving message. We are instructed to take up our cross and follow our Master. The journey of the cross will take us to a place of death where we die out in repentance, are buried with Him in baptism and rise to walk in newness of life through the infilling of the Holy Ghost.
Living an Overcoming Life (1 John 5:4)
With the infilling of the Holy Ghost comes the ability to stand against things that once held us captive. We failed at our original attempt when we were under our own control and governed by our flesh. After being born again of the Spirit, we now have divine authority over old desires, habits and sins and can overcome them by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony (Rev 12:11).
Holiness (Heb 12:14)
The beauty of Holiness is a revelation that begins on the inside and is then manifested on the outside (Ps 29:2). It is a visible representation of our commitment and relationship with God. We are not our own, but have been bought with a price. (1 Cor 6:19-20). We believe that we should come out from among them and be separate as Scripture instructs (2 Cor 6:17). We feel it is imperative that we represent Christ, in our conversation, conduct, attitude, dress and desire in such a way that brings glory to Him. Holiness is not a destination, rather it is a journey.
He is Coming again! 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: (Vs: 17) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (Vs: 18) Wherefore comfort one another with these words. With these beautiful verses, we are eagerly anticipating the imminent return of our Lord and Savior!
